Company profile ALWA
As a long-standing family business ALWA combines innovative thinking with more than 30 years of experience. The shareholder family has already been taking responsibility for the company in its second generation. The success of ALWA is rooted in both tradition and cooperation in an environment of trust and confidence. Our principles are reliability and partnership-based cooperation. The successful introduction of our high-quality products on the market requires strong suppliers and, of course, the full commitment of all our employees. We regard our employees as our most valuable asset and the basis of our success.
We are a specialist in the development, production and the distribution of synthetic resin systems, primarily for model and mould making. In combination with special filler mixtures, user-friendly systems are developed, which are used in the area of mould making, especially for processing thermoplastics and duroplastics, and in the ceramic industry. For the production of high quality moulds our customers need materials with best product properties. High temperature resistance, good mechanical stability as well as dimensional accuracy are important criteria for our customers, who we serve with our high-quality products. The fast curing of our patented casting resin systems makes it possible to produce highest-quality moulds in just one day instead of one week as well as the production of compact moulds of any desired volume. We are able to deliver “just in time” because of our well-stocked warehouse. Our materials are used in order to produce moulds for the sanitary and chocolate industry as well as dental laboratories and plastic display manufacturers. Moreover, our materials can be used for vacuum clamping technology, filter applications, air film and sliding technology and foundry, among others.

Please consider the different thermal coefficients of linear expansion if ALWA POR ALUMINIUM is screwed on a slab or something is screwed on ALWA POR ALUMINIUM (slab, block or mould). Drill larger holes for the screws into the material, so that the different expansion coefficients can level out. Screw connections which are used several times should be
equipped with threaded sleeves.

CASTING RESIN FOR THE CERAMICINDUSTRY: ALWA MOULD P
ALWA MOULD P is a cold curing casting resin for the production of porous moulds, slabs and blocks for the ceramic industry. lt is a porous and high-strength plastic, which is well-suited for high pressure casting ap- plications.ALWA MOULD P can be used in various areas of the tableware and sanitary ceramics, technica ceramics, plastic mould procedure as well as various filtration processes. The high stability and defined porosity of the material allows highly accurate mould surface reproductions. With ALWA MOULD P various geometric moulds for filtration processes of suspensions can be produced. ALWA MOULD P can be used for ceramic sip pressure casting procedures. in this procedure. water is removed by a filtration process of aclay suspension (slip), so that an increasing clay layer is built on the mould wall over time. The moulds, slabs and blocks of ALWA MoULD P are easily machinable le.gdrilling, milling).
ALWA MOULD P can be flexibly adjusted due to the customers’ requirements concerning the total porosity and average pore diameter.

Porous casting resin:ALWA PERM
Together with the Fachhochschule Münster – University of Applied Sciences we are working on ALWA PERM(patent No. 2583995)。 this is a metal-filled casting resin for producing a porous,resin-bound mould. These materials are applicable in the areas of thermoforming ,the ceremic industry, intake moulds and devices, peneumatic cushioning, the filter industry, etc.
ALWA PERM allows a castable production of porous metallic materials with a binder for the first time. The system offers a highly accurate mould surface reproduction. The profile characteristics goes far beyond the currenct state of the art.
NO MORE DRILLING OF VACUUM HOLES!
NO DAMAGE OF THE MOULD SURFACE DUE TO THE DRILLING HOLES!
